Here are some horrifying images drawn by Chicago’s own Trubble Club. NSFW, also, horses.
Is It Bad?
I thought I’d post this in honor of National Eating-Disorder Awareness week,
a strip I did about 9 months ago that expresses some my anxiety over my ED and internet behaviors.
If you know someone who is coping with or in recovery from Eating Disorders, just take a second this week to say hi.
Here’s a comic I did for The Chicago Reader Comics Issue, which is out today in, coincidentally, Chicago.
My strip didn’t make it into the issue, but it was featured online.
There’s been some kerfuffle surrounding the strips that got chosen and those that didn’t.
A lot of incredibly talented cartoonists’ work was not selected for this issue. It should be known that the Reader’s Comics Issue was a curated issue, and only had space for 8 strips.
There’s no point in anyone feeling sour about who got chosen and who didn’t,
additionally I understand the idea of only having room for the 8 strips, but still featuring more online, as print media grows ever closer to living solely on the internet.
Still, I needed to say something, and I hope you’re willing to dive more into the Chicago comics scene, as it’s one of the greatest towns for comics.
You can find a larger verison of my strip, as well as the other comics chosen for the issue by Eric Kirsammer HERE
